TRANSFORMATION IS THE ABILITY AND WILLINGNESS TO CHANGE FORM
By Lucy Baker CCHT
There is nothing miracles cannot do, But they cannot be performed in the spirit of doubt or fear. When you are afraid of anything, You acknowledge its power to hurt you."
-A Course in Miracles
The Law of Attraction is at your service. Right now, you have the mind power within to attract your highest desires. The power of intention is simply the process of applying the law of attraction and the law of detachment while simultaneously visualizing and focusing on what you desire.
What is the Law of Attraction?
Law of attraction has many different labels, "Success consciousness", "Law of Magnetism", "Power of Thought" etc.
What it says is; all your thoughts, all images in your mind, and all the feelings connected to your thoughts will later manifest as your reality. In other words; everything you have in your life - now - has been attracted to you thru your mind.
This means that both the things you are happy with and those you are not - is your own creation.
Most importantly it means; you can from now on create your life consciously. You can start attracting only those circumstances that creates happiness for you - and leave out those you do not desire.
"As a single footstep will not make a path on the earth, so a single thought will not make a pathway in the mind. To make a deep physical path, we walk again and again. To make a deep mental path, we must think over and over the kind of thoughts we wish to dominate our lives."
-Henry David Thoreau
Science supports the fundamental reality of the Law of Attraction
The Holographic Universe
The physicist Alain Aspect discovered that under certain circumstances subatomic particles such as electrons are able to instantaneously communicate with each other regardless of the distance separating them. University of London physicist David Bohm believes Aspect's findings imply that objective reality does not exist, that despite its apparent solidity the universe is at heart a a gigantic and splendidly detailed hologram.
Thoughts and words can alter DNA
Russian research shows that the human DNA can be altered by thoughts, words and frequencies.
At Princeton University is an ongoing research study called The Global Consciousness Project, which examines subtle correlations that reflect the presence and activity of consciousness in the world. When millions of people share the same intentions, emotions and reactions to an event, small changes in consciousness accummulate. Simply put, results thus far suggests that if many people are thinking about the same thing at the same time it can influence other events.
We have an inbuilt natural energy protection to shield us from the outside world, and can easily strengthen this by regularly using our thoughts to keep it powerful. An aura protects against negative thought - both inward and outward.
Thoughts have measurable frequencies; negative thoughts have a low frequency and positive a high. The frequency of the electric field surrounding a human body is such that it to a certain degree prevents negative thought to penetrate this shield. That protects us from negative vibrations from the outer world - and it also means that positive affirmations are much stronger than negative.
The power of prayer
A number of studies conducted by medical scientists, over a time, have tried to make a case for the salutary effect of prayer on people suffering from cardiovascular, immune, and other disorders.
Herbert Benson, a Harvard Medical School professor told a conference recently that saying a few prayers can trigger the mind, lower high blood pressure and even cure infertility. However, the prayers had to be emotionally surcharged to be effective.
THE LAW OF DETACHMENT
As we want it and allow it , SO it is
"The Law of Detachment says that in order to acquire anything in the physical universe, you have to relinquish your attachment to it." - from The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success by Deepak Chopra
How can something so simple be so difficult to grasp? How can one little law be the brunt of so many of compaints? Detachment is the most challenging Universal Law to grasp.
One minute we're fine for example, saying, "I'm perfectly okay if I never meet the ideal partner, have the perfect dream results on my exam, run a marathon or lose 50 pounds. I have enough in my life and I actually enjoy my free time, or like the house I am in. Yet the next minute we're saying, "It's not fair! I want it !"
The struggle and perpetual vacillation continues as one minute we are honouring the perfect timing of the Divine in my life, knowing that Spirit never makes a mistake while the next minute I'm having a spiritual temper tantrum screaming, " I WANT WHAT I WANT, WHEN I WANT IT - NOW!"
When we feel impatience we are focusing on what we do Not want. We are looking at the lack of what we want as opposed to looking with faith towards the desire. Ernest Holmes in The Science of Mind wrote, "Never look at that which you do not wish to experience."
But what if we confuse detachment with apathy?
"If I say I don't care - won't I manifest it not coming into my life?" Or "If I relax, won't I get complacent and then stop all the energy that's flowing towards my desires?" Or "If I say I'm happy and content now, won't it keep me where I am forever?"
The answers (depending on the situation) will vary slightly but will always come back to how positive or negative you are feeling. How does it make you feel when you relax and let go? How does it feel to find happiness in the now while pursuing what you want for the future? Is it positive, joyous or comfortable? If the feelings are positive then you are in alignment with your desires. If your feelings are negative then you are still attached somewhere in the vision.
If you continue being in alignment (by letting go) while still maintaining the vision of the desire then (and only then) will you be practicing detachment and your desire will have to come to you.
If life is a rushing river with rapids and thundering waves upstream, that we have learned from childhood to row our canoe towards, fighting, struggling, using every inch of effort to get a few feet forward – then we need to realise that everything we want is downstream. This is what detachment is – placing your oars back into your canoe, and allowing your boat to float downstream, trusting that you are always in the right place at the right time. We have to relax in order to receive. Not work so hard that we leave no space within us to receive our dream when it is time for it to appear. This is called flowing with God in some cultures.
To be attached means to be powerless because what you attach yourself to, you give your power to. When you look to outside sources to bring you fulfillment, you are giving your power away. When you are looking to something outside yourself for power and happiness, you are making something other than your true self your source.
Whatever you detach from has no power over you, but you have complete power over it.
Attachment to anything will always create insecurity. Many successful people are the most insecure, just as some of the world's poorest people can be the most generous. Attachment to something makes you wonder if you will keep having it or if your may lose it. Insecurity causes unhappiness.
The search for security and certainty is actually an attachment to the known. It is all about control which is all about fear of Loss. There's no evolution in that, absolutely none at all. And when there is no evolution, there is stagnation, entropy, disorder, and disintegration.
Uncertainty and the unknown is the field of all possibilities or pure potential. It is ever fresh, ever new, always open to the creation of new manifestations. It is the realm of pure creativity and freedom. When you are attached, your intention gets locked into a rigid mindset and you lose the fluidity, the flexibility, and the spontaneity inherent in the field of pure potential.
When you experience uncertainty, you are on the right path so don't give it up. You don't need to have a complete and rigid idea of what you'll be doing next week or next year, because if you have a very clear idea of what's going to happen and you get rigidly attached to it, then you shut out a whole range of possibilities.
Remember there is an infinite intelligence working alongside your own. All you have to do is state your intentions and desires and detach from the how and when they manifest.
Imagine you found a job you're looking for. It looks like the job you want, and it appears the odds are in your favour, yet at the last minute they choose to hire someone else. If you are detached then you trust that another opportunity, the right opportunity is on its way. However, if you are so attached to getting that job for whatever reason, you cause yourself lots of anxiety and stress if you don't get it, which means you are looking for this job as an outside source to fulfill you on some level.
The Law of Detachment accelerates the whole process of evolution. When you understand this law, you don't feel compelled to force solutions. When you force solutions on problems, you only create new problems. But when you wait patiently and in faith, the right solution will arise on its own. Confusion is the doorway to a new understanding. Order will emerge from the chaos.
We must have goals otherwise we are denying our inner desires, cutting ourselves off from growth and development. Goals inspire us to live, create and move forward. If we are not doing this, we are dying on the inside. We want to embrace desires and intentions but we just don't want to cling to them. Of course, we all want to realize our goals and desires, however if realizing them is the source of our well-being, the source of our happiness or worthiness we will fail!
But what if you feel somehow greedy or unspiritual in wanting more money, more health, more possessions when there are so many others who have not?
You must decide that, to make a difference, you have to expand beyond the norm and yet still allow this feeling to be normal.
According to Seth Manne in his book, Manifesting the Ultimate, there are two types of guilt – natural and artificial. Guilt is an instinctual feeling and we as humans most definitely know the difference between the two.
As long as you intuitively know that your desire or goal that you are manifesting will cause no harm and understand in the limitless nature of the Universe, you will not experience guilt. Guilt is the by-product of causing harm and we all know what that feels like.
When you have caused no harm, yet feel guilty anyway, you are experiencing artificial guilt. It is usually the result of unconscious beliefs that you have picked up from your life, childhood, family and friends, and have suppressed. They are hand-me-down belief structures that can very well surface as guilt. If you can not put your finger on why you are feeling guilty, more than likely, what you are experiencing is not even yours.
What you can do with this type of guilt is allow it to guide you to the unconscious beliefs that are fueling it. Letting go of old unhelpful affirmations is easy once you realize how they are running your life and making you unhappy.
So, once you have made formed your desire and are ready to set it out into your future, you begin to act as if you already have it, and that it feels quite usual.
In order to be a vibrational match for your desire, you must feel it as normal. When we get all excited when imagining a desire this unusual energy can delay the flow.. You must act like it's no big deal. Feel good about it and then be casual about it. Feel the gratitude and relief of having already received it, but breathe it into normalcy as if you have had this for years.
Acting like it is too good for you or that it's a big thing would mean that you are not in a vibrational match with it. This is why so many lottery winners tend to be on the same money scale within two years as they were prior to winning. They were incompatible and with this, did not fully accept a higher vibration of more than enough into their lives. The inner saboteur then comes out to play and before you know, your energy is back in the comfortable familiar land of struggle and loss again.
There are three main areas of life which are health, wealth and love. Health is the easiest thing to expect because it is part of our physical bodies. If you feel that health is a natural thing to have, then feel the same for wealth and love as well. As you relax on one level of energy, so it filters to the other levels within you.
We are creatures made up of vibrational energy and this is how we begin to resonate with abundance. Think of it as very normal and have a ho-hum attitude towards those things. Health, wealth and love are different aspects of well being. They belong to you by divine right therefore you can expect those things to be in your life.
So let us begin to manifest! Remember the mind accepts without reason what your energy, thoughts and attitudes tell it.
Whether it is something you really, really want or something you really, really fear, manifesting, through the law of attraction will work. Events will unfold so that it will lead the way to the materialization of the object of your attention. Remember, patience is part of the process.
Be mindful of the things in your mind for your thoughts can work for you or against you. Deliberately create your present and your future by consciously directing your thoughts towards your desires.
There are some simple steps to manifesting what you want.
1. Know what you truly want and attach it to a deeper feeling? It may look like a fancy car, but what is really going on underneath that wish, for example? If you know what you truly want, your heart, mind and soul are one with your desire. You can give your undivided attention to this particular goal.
2. Keep the end result in mind. Have a very clear vision of the end result of your desire. Make it as vivid as if it is really there with you. See it, hear it, feel it, smell it or taste it. It is not your job how it will be manifested; your ob is to envision what will be manifested.
3. Cooperate. Make your actions congruent with your desires. Recognize opportunities and grab them. Speak new words and thoughts that keep your energy positive and strong. Words like easy, opportunity, gift, miracle, yes, can, will. Complaining about anything, holds you in the place of refusing to receive the things you've been asking for. Justifying about anything holds you in the place of refusing to let in the very things that you've been asking for. Blaming someone, holds you in the place of refusing to let in the things that you've been asking for. Feeling guilty, feeling angry, it doesn't matter what you call it, it is a refusal, not a conscious one. You're asking; you can't help but ask. The Universe is yielding; it must yield. It's a big question, folks: why aren't you letting it in?
4. Pretend you have it and give thanks. Play the game of advance gratitude. Give thanks like you already have what you want and it will indeed come to you.
Remember to let go of all control once you have done your job. Know that one way or another, sooner or later, you will receive what you have asked. Frustrations and negative attitudes will just delay the manifestations of your desire, so relax and trust that it is coming.
Consciously choose the path you wish to take. Deliberately create your experiences. Once in a while, life may throw something challenging, hard or painful at you, and you will gather the awareness to now question the reality of the situation and before you react. Stop for a moment and ask:, “It looks terrible on the surface – but what is really really going on underneath? What is the grain of Truth I need to receive in this moment of training? What if this person creating this chaos is actually my most profound teacher in this moment? Am I truly ready to breathe, relax, notice my feet, put my oars down in my canoe and allow the current to gently flow me downstream? Am I ready to truly manifest what I want?
Only you will know the answer.
Finally, to end, a quote from the ancient Chinese philosopher and Taoist thinker, Chuang Tsu
If there is no true centre within to receive it, it cannot remain;
if there is no true direction outside to guide it, it cannot be received....
warmly,
Lucy Baker
